I use this to represent my present political view of the world, where the fire of communal violence and racism exist. I carry the fear of mass death in an indirect way. Wood is metaphor of death for me. When I see the burning wood at the Manikarnika Ghat, I relate it to my inner conflict and outer reality. When I gave “Mukhagni” to my father. It is a silent communication between the wood, my father and me. My father gave me life and I have to burn his body. This is the tradition we follow.
